Blu on Park Restaurant
In this narrow and long space, Ben examined the performance of multiple adjustable recessed lights in order to create the perception of a broader space. This lighting scheme highlights the decor, while offering narrow pools of light for intimacy.

Laura Heim Studio
In planning her own studio, the architect included a detailed format of lighting. A smart, rarely used addition, was her decision to add two ceiling solar-tubes to provide supplementary natural light. Ben added two concealed up-light elements, a daylight-harvesting control, and functional, glare-free light modules. When the AIANY interiors Committee selected the Heim Architect Studio for inclusion in the “Speed Presentations 11 Part I” showcasing outstanding interior spaces by 5 NYC-based architects, Laura Heim graciously credited Ben Kadishson: “Your lighting expertise was key to this project.”

Sag Harbor Condominium
Two drafts and three models resulted in enhancing this stylized, refined decor.
Ben applied the pinhole down-lights with their minimal source-appearance.

Guilford Residence
Here the architect provided the floor plans, framing plans, duct plans, and furniture plans, a built-to-scale cardboard model of the whole house, and a modular assembly of lumber and Lucite to convey her spatial concept. Ben created the whole-house lighting scheme to enhance the architect’s vision.
